Dinesen is a family business in Denmark that sells wooden flooring. Long beautiful planks. One day I will be the owner of a house with a floor like this.
“Enjoy them: the beauty of the planks themselves –so astonishingly wide and long, you will look in vain for partitions or joints where none can be found; the fragrance of the wood as you enter the room; the distinct, deep resonance of your footsteps on the solid planks; and the soft sensation of the grains of wood as you gently touch the surface. A unique experience.” (from their website)

Wooden floors are a sort of a must for any apartment. Luckily, I have beautiful wooden parquet floor in my current apartment. If I move, I will definitely set this as one crucial criterion when picking a new place.

Lucky you with parquet!
We have cheap laminate flooring in our rented apartment. Too yellow but better than wall to wall carpet in my opinion.

I wrote about Dinesen floors after visiting the Saatchi Gallery last year. I LOVE them, they are so beautiful. I love the length and width of the planks they create. When I win the lottery these will be the floors I install in my loft.

I want to see these floors “live” one day. I love wood and the length and width, as you say, is just incredible.

These wooden floors are so gorgeous. I really love that they’re on the beige side, it gives these different spaces a much more softer look.

Waoow! The floor is so beautiful! I’m a big fan of wood floors but this is really one of my favorites from now on! I think because the planks are bigger than the standards normally are!

I think if we ever move home, I’ll have a wooden floor throughout the downstairs at least, very practical as well as good looking, and a god option for pet owners especially if like ours they are in the habit of bringing home a present for us and leaving it on the carpet!

Haha. Our cat does that all the time as well. Usually at about 4 in the morning. ALIVE! It’s so disgusting… :)
