I often dream about proper wooden floors. Although it is quite expensive wooden flooring is one of those things that really adds to a home. But every now and then I dream about white floors. Not because they are practical, or easy to clean, obviously, because they aren’t :) …but because there is just something beautiful about the light and the simplicity of an all white space.

oh white floors, i see you sister ;) i’d love for some white floors myself as well, but with a dog and a tiny home, it’s so hard to keep everything clean that i can only imagine those white floors to last a… week? i keep thinking and thinking what rug for the living-room i should get, because i wanted something lighter in the beige section, but i’m always thinking how long will it last without a stain or something!

I got a White rug from Ikea. Only costed 20 pounds I think and at that price I can afford to buy a new one if it gets stained :)

do white stairs count? I have those and all they need is a quick sweep and look great easier than carpet with dog hair to be honest.

I totally agree! I have a fantasy about white floors too – even though it’s not a decision I think I‘d make in real life … it’s nice to daydream about :)

We dream of the same thing, Marianne! One day, I keep saying, one day I WILL have white wooden floors!!!

I agree, the upkeep is worth it for the light and fresh feeling of white floors. Love.
